SALSA CONFERENCE
REGISTRATION AND LODGING INFORMATION

SALSA is the Society for the Anthropology of Lowland South America. SALSA was founded in 2001 with the objective of promoting sound and ethical research on issues related to the area of lowland South America, its peoples, and its environments, as well as to promote the education of students and the general public on these same issues. Our membership is international, consisting mostly of persons living in Europe, the United States, and South America. Our members include professional scholars and graduate students, as well as persons working in non-profit organizations and non-academic fields. Our members carry out work and research in Amazonia, the Orinoco Basin, the Guianas, Chile, and other areas of lowland South America.

SALSA holds a conference every year and a half and publishes a journal twice annually. For more information on SALSA, our conferences, our journal, and our work, please use the links to the left.
